Dalgetty's Gift

Becca, my best friend, has a friend who got married a few weeks ago.  She wanted to get them a personal gift and asked me to make a sign for her.  It was so easy and practically free, so I thought I would share it with everyone.

A few months ago I saw a stash of stuff on the side of the road marked free and sent my boyfriend to go pick it up.  Along with some great frames, there was a really UGLY shelf.  I tore the shelf apart and used the pieces to make signs.

I painted this one a glossy black and used my Cricut to cut out the letters.  I used glossy Mod Podge and gave it an extra coat to seal the whole thing.  I added a ribbon to hang it by gluing and then stapling the ribbon to the sign.

I think it is just adorable!  A gift any couple would be happy to get!

I am linking up to Frugalicious Friday.

  2. Summer Rae- thanks for all of your sweet comments. I enjoy coming over to your blog too. Your projects are really fun! I love the Easter frame decor. You seem like someone who would be so fun to sit down and sew/scrapbook/craft with. I look forward to your next project!
